In these times of crisis – the best in people shines through, kindness and generosity is restored even tho the chips are down
The 11th Kilmovee 10k may be shelved this year due to the national and international pandemic. We all may be stuck in our homes whether self-isolating, working from home or homeschooling…
But there are thousands of Front-line workers leaving home every day to care for the vulnerable, the sick, taking the dreaded tests, working in care homes but the classification of Front-line worker doesn’t stop with the medical profession – Postmen & women, retail workers, delivery drivers, gardai, volunteers and so many others that in the knowledge of leaving their houses to carry out they’re duties are putting themselves, their families and loved ones at risk – so that we can all #StayAtHome
We at Kilmovee 10k would like to say a big Thank You to you all.
With that said, a thank you is nice but the medical profession is where we turn our attention and where we are about to launch something very ambitious.
Kilmovee 10k with your help, the help of businesses, families, and friends want to donate 10,000 medical face masks to various medical front-line workers – That’s right Kilmovee 10k Face Masks!!
This is a simple donation and if we manage to get 1000 of you to donate just €8.20 we will meet our goal – But of course, that’s not very ambitious so here’s the twist –
We want to have the amount raised by Saturday 11th April 2020 1pm – The time this year’s race would start!
Please get behind this by donating, sharing, tell friends and family to help us reach our target – Let’s get behind our Medical Front-line workers and show them we care about them, their families and their loved ones!
Thank you all the Kilmovee 10k Team
PS. We have already had an offer that if we reach 10,000 masks www.iamwizzrd.com will donate a further 1,000 masks!!
