The roads and lanes around Kilmovee were alive with energy and determination on Saturday, April 19th, as hundreds of participants took part in the 14th annual Kilmovee 10k and 5k races, proudly held in support of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA Club.
Despite persistent rain and wet conditions, runners and walkers arrived from early morning to register and line up for what has become a much-loved Easter tradition in the region. The sense of camaraderie and community spirit remained undeterred, with enthusiastic supporters, volunteers, and marshals providing encouragement along the route.
Proud to Support Mayo Roscommon Hospice
“We are immensely proud of our long-standing charity partnership with Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation,” said a spokesperson for the organising team. “Their work in providing palliative care services across our region is vital, and we are honoured that the Kilmovee10k continues to raise both awareness and much-needed funds for their mission.”
