Welcome to the 2025 Kilmovee 10k & 5k – Saturday 19th April!
Whether you’re lacing up your runners or simply passing through the area, here’s everything you need to know ahead of this year’s event.
We’re thrilled to be celebrating our 14th Kilmovee 10k/5k, and we’re so grateful for the continued support from our incredible community. A big thank you goes out to all our participants, volunteers, marshals, medical teams, hospitality crews, and our generous sponsors – especially our main sponsor, Dean Roofing, Kilkelly.
Your support helps raise vital funds for Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA Club – so whether you’re running, walking, cheering, or helping out, you’re making a real difference.

🏁 Race Day Details
Date: Saturday, 19th April 2025
Start Time: 1:00 PM sharp for both 10k & 5k
Check-in opens at 10:30 AM at the Kilmovee Shamrocks Clubhouse (Eircode: F45WY80)
📍 Getting Here
Follow the R325 into Kilmovee – we’ll have signs out to help guide you.

You can also enter “Kilmovee, Mayo” into your Sat Nav – it’ll bring you to the village crossroads.
⚠️ Please drive carefully and be prepared to slow down – there’ll be extra foot traffic in the area.
🎽 Number Collection
Pick up your race number at the Shamrocks Clubhouse when you arrive (from 10:30 AM). Your number should be pinned to the front of your shirt.
🚌 Shuttle Service
A free shuttle bus will run regularly from the Community Centre to the GAA grounds starting at 11:15 AM.
Note: The start line is approximately 1km from the Community Centre, so allow time to get there.
🚧 Road Closures
Roads will close at 12:45 PM, so please arrive before then.
If you’re arriving earlier, normal traffic rules still apply, so please be extra cautious.
Ample free parking is available at both the GAA grounds and Community Centre, with shuttle transport in between.
💧 Water Stations & Clean-Up
There will be plenty of water stations along the route. Please drop any used bottles near distance markers or safely at the roadside to help keep the course tidy.
