It is bitter/sweet that this year we launch, as part of our 5k race, The Miyah Kelly National School Challenge
Miyah, a former u8 player with our club passed away at the age of 7 on 25th Nov 2021. Miyah’s mam and dad, Eileen & Donal are valued members of our club and were both coaches in the club at the time of Miyah’s passing. Miyah’s dad Donal and her grandad Danny and uncle Conor played active roles on the club executive for many years.
Miyah’s brother Fionn is a player on the Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA u14 team and we look forward to her younger brother Feilim will don the green & gold in the near future. Miyah was also a pupil at St Aidens N.S Kiltimagh. In Miyah’s memory the perpetual trophy will be for primary schools only.
Help keep Miyah’s memory alive with this beautiful tribute.
If you are a student or a primary school teacher and you register for the Kilmovee 5k race you may do this in memory of Miyah. The first primary school to cross the finish line will be awarded the perpetual trophy
